Resolution of Respect in Loving
Memory of Beloved:

Pastor's Wife Christine Caston 

Though your days among us were too brief and our grief is never-ending, we draw comfort from the knowledge that you have found safe refuge in the Lord and in our hearts, where no darkness or pain can touch you now. We bless you with love, light and our gratitude. 

Whereas, Christine Caston, co-founder, Pastor’s Wife, Finance Manager and Spiritual Leader of Good News Ministries  has passed from this life on to the waiting arms of Jesus, and  

Whereas, the death of our beloved Christine Caston does not diminish the profound benediction of a life lived in such Godly service, nor our love, admiration and our affection for her, and 

Whereas, Christine  Caston faithfully attended God's most urgent admonition to follow in the footsteps of the righteous, seek justice in all circumstances, and care for the least among us as if they were the dearest, and 

Whereas, Christine Caston was an actively involved in the operations of Good News Ministries, as Pastor’s wife from the beginning of its existence of twelve years and freely gave of  her time and energy in home bible studies, financial management and spiritual leadership, and 

Whereas, in her service as co-founder, Pastor’s wife and financial manager, she shared as well a bright, steady spirit and a cheerful heart, and 

Whereas, our beloved Christine Caston embraced the all-forgiving presence of God from her earliest days and strove to exhibit these same qualities of compassion throughout an exemplary life, and 

Whereas, the family and acquaintances of  Christine Caston are deeply saddened at  her departure, as are all who were touched by her generous spirit and kindnesses, and 

Whereas, her legacy of faith and service will continue to inspire all her loved ones and all who knew her.

Now, therefore, be it resolved that we wish all who are now in mourning to take comfort from the words of Jesus when He said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 

And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”  

Therefore, be it resolved that we bow to a greater Will than our own and rest in the knowledge that one day we will be united with Christine again, in joy and in the fullness of God's mercy.

An be it further resolved that a portrait of her will be permanently displayed at Good News Ministries as a monument in the greatest honor of her and what she meant to the ministry.
